Opening up membership

OpenAustralia contributorsWe want people who actively contribute to our projects to have a say in what we do, and how we do it so we’re opening up membership to the OpenAustralia Foundation.

If you’ve made a significant contribution to our projects in the past and you’re interested in becoming a member then please drop us a line – we’d love to hear from you.

Not sure if we qualify as haven’t contributed even a line of code to an OA project.
But my business partner and I did instigate/build Neatstreets back in 2009 (although the company who was paying our wages refused to open source/and or put it out for community development – hence we parted company soon after and set up our own shop “LogicBox”)
I did also just get rewarded by Matthew (with a t-shirt) for my efforts fighting for recently fighting democracy at a local level (Deniliquin Council).
Plus we’re Ruby/iphone/android developers so that could come in handy, although like everyone else getting time away from paying clients is a real problem.

Would love to be associated you guys somehow as am jealous of the work you’re doing.
Your work actually matters and does influence important things in life that most take fro granted!
(i was actually looking at transitioning the mysociety model myself and had some chats with Tom – but he explained you guys had beaten me to it)

As i said to Matthew, the next time any of you guys are down in Melbourne – we should catch up.

    Regards

    RIch

      Thanks for the comment Rich!

It’s been way too long since we were last in Melbourne, maybe it’s time for another hackfest? How about helping us organise it, then we’d have a really good excuse to come visit :)

NOTE: I moved Rich’s comment here as we accidentally left comments open on our membership page.
